Happy New Year everyone! Unfortunately the "Meter" New Year was welcomed with great sadness as we had to say good-bye to our beloved Ginger Baby. We found out earlier this week that her poor body was fighting cancer in addition to a large tumor that was cutting off the blood supply to her hind legs. Over the last few days she began telling us that she was ready to stop fighting as she began having a harder time walking and jumping up on her big king size bed that was purchased just for her. We know she would have kept fighting the fight as long as we wanted her too, but our torn hearts knew she did not deserve to go through the pain and suffering she would have had to endure. She is an amazing, wonderful dog who even convinced us she was a person and rescued her big and little mommy when they needed it most. The day we got her, we realized very quickly just how much she had stolen our hearts already-with those ice blue eyes, her black dotted nose and her spirit that radiated unconditional Love and and a whole lot of quirky.
Sweet Ginger Baby...saying good-bye to you was the hardest thing that your two mommy's and daddy had to do! We already miss the sound of the "Ginger shuffle" in the kitchen and the extra shadow of Love you provided your little mommy each and every day as a reminder of just how loyal you truly are. We Love you and hope you find all the yummy treats you can...we all know you deserve them!
